There are many families in Zion with yellow flowering species, but the sunflower family is king. This family is represented in Zion by more than 160 different species. Many of these bloom during the heat of summer, but you can find them in the spring and in the fall. These flowers are often visited by bees, butterflies, and other flying insects.
