Zion National Park is home to numerous species of insects, spiders, centipedes, and millipedes. Zion is also home to the largest spider in the southwest, the Tarantula. Contrary to popular belief Tarantulas very rarely bite, and even if they do, their venom is considered non-toxic to humans.
